The Hymn Society of Great Britain and Ireland Annual Conference - Bishop Burton College
Our Annual Conference this year was another three-day occasion from Tuesday, July 24th - Friday, July 27th 2018. The venue? The delightful setting of Bishop Burton College. It is a pleasantly situated land-based college offering courses as diverse as agriculture, floristry, equine, art and design, and engineering! Located just outside the town of Beverley with its minster, York is also not too distant.
Information about the Conference
Conference began on Tuesday 24th July (Registration from 2.00 pm). It concluded with lunch on Friday 27th July. Our Chaplains this year were Gordon and Hazel Taylor. The Festival of Hymns is in St Michael & All Angels Parish Church, Cherry Burton. The commentator will be Martin Leckebusch, organist, Nicholas Page and Conductor, Ian Sharp. There will be an outing to Beverley Minster.
