This is currently active for new members who sign up to a subscription with PayPal.
If you have just signed up using Direct Debit or are a current member of the Hymn Society of Great Britain and Ireland and had access to the Members’ Area in the previous site your username and password will not work with this new site. You will be given a link to sign into this Members’ Area in due course.
Many thanks for your patience as we roll out the new Members’ Area to all members of the Society.
Setting up username and password
Once you have chosen a username it cannot be changed, so please choose wisely. You will automatically be informed if the username you choose is available or taken already.
Please consider using a secure password for logging in. A secure password contains a mixture of upper and lower case letters, numbers and special characters like )*&, and eight or more characters in length. Most modern browsers provide the option to save usernames and passwords for sites but it is good practice to keep your own record of these. There are free apps that can do this for you which can be installed in all your devices to save all your usernames and passwords – they will also generate unique passwords for you and automatically fill in online forms. These store your various login details in the cloud and can be made accessible wherever you are loging in from, whichever device you are using, all you need to remember is your master password. Two that come highly recommended are LastPass and Dashlane. Both have free and premium options.
