For Your Information

Our 2024 three-day Conference is taking place at High Leigh Conference Centre, Hoddesdon, part of the Christian Conference Trust. We last met there in 2011. The Centre is readily accessible by train to Broxbourne, followed by a short taxi or bus ride. There is also good parking for cars. Once there, the campus is compact, level, with all facilities readily accessible. Conference

Dates: from Tuesday, 23rd July (Arrive from 2.00 pm) to lunchtime Friday, 26th July. Accommodation: All rooms are ensuite and should be available as either single or twin. The Festival of Hymns will take place in the delightful surroundings of 15th century St Augustine’s Church, Broxbourne. The Commentator will be Andrew Pratt, the Conductor, Philip Price, with Ian Sharp as Organist. The Conference Pack: The Programme, list of attendees, and other information, will be sent out early July either by post or email.

The cost: Due to the way in which High Leigh functions, the Conference has been planned as fully residential: for Society members at £360.00 and for Non-Members at £390.

Day Visitors may be possible, so a price and booking application is included, however, if you would like to attend as a Day Visitor early booking is essential. The cost for day-visitors for the full conference is £240.00, charged pro-rata according to length of stay and the day/s attending (see back of form). Additional nights before or after Conference are not available this year.

Bursaries

Bursaries are available due to the generosity of some of our members.

If you would otherwise either find it difficult, or be unable, to attend. Do please apply for a Bursary to the Secretary who can provide further information.

Booking

To register, please send a non-returnable deposit of £100.00 by 31st May. The balance must be paid by 28th June. Cheques should be made payable to ‘The Hymn Society’ or payment by Bank Transfer to: The Hymn Society of Great Britain & Ireland.
