Alleluia is our song by David Mowbray
Hymns for Worship and Reflection
Remember Christ Jesus, alive from the dead! Once scorned as the loser, now winner instead. As God’s Easter people, to him we belong and sing ‘Alleluia!’, our festival song.
St. Augustine (354-430 AD) famously wrote of the Christian Church that, “We are an Easter people and Alleluia is our song.” In this second collection of hymns and worship songs, David Mowbray shows that the song continues fresh and unabated. The hymn texts, suitable either for congregational use or for private reflection, explore and express a wide range of Christian belief. Some of the texts have already been published while many are given their first airing here. Brief notes and references are added, together with copyright details.
