Hymn of the Day: Advent to Epiphany
You may remember that The Hymn Society produced a ‘Hymn for the Day’ each day in July, the month in which we would normally hold our Annual Conference.
This was a resounding success! We received large numbers of contributions – our gratitude is due to all those who wrote, and (some) who recorded reflections. A large number of people made use of these, by downloading from the website, or through Facebook. A survey, carried out during August, showed that these included many of our members as well as people entirely new to The Hymn Society. They expressed enthusiastic appreciation of the quality and range offered, and the hope that we might do the same again very soon.
As the pandemic shows little sign of abating at present, we propose to run another series from Advent Sunday to Epiphany (November 29th to January 6th). This is about a week longer than the July series, and has the benefit of being more tightly focused.
This page will have links to the collection of reflections as they become available each day. Please do return and enjoy what we have to offer over these wonderful seasons in the Christian year.
